pre-1998: Adventures in Pennsylvania, Texas, Indiana and Colorado. BS Chemistry from Albright College, Reading PA. MS Chemistry from Texas A&M University, College Station TX. Studied basic acrylic painting and received commissions for abstract artwork.
1998: Drove cross- country to NYC metro to focus on “color” – a combination of artwork and a career in the cosmetics industry. Moved to Bloomfield, NJ and began learning personal care and makeup formulation during the day, while taking painting classes in the evening.
2000-2007: Studied with Master Pastelist, Alex Piccirillo, at Montclair Art Museum and Fair Lawn Art Association, focusing on Representational Painting of Human Figure in charcoal and pastel. Also received several commissions for portraits in pastel and abstracts in mixed media.
2003-2004: Moved to Montclair, NJ. Pastel portraits included in Student Art Exhibit at Montclair Art Museum and “A Solo Group Show” at the Graduate Gallery, Montclair State University.
2007: Began focusing on abstract work using mixed media including spray-paint -- dynamic compositions inspired by nature and science.
2008: Moved to Hoboken, NJ and began work on floral compositions and portraits on canvas.
2010: New studio space... new inspirations!
2011: New abstract, figurative, and floral paintings included in galleries in NJ and NYC.
